All five Wm Dodgson branches and G H Dovener & Son Funeral Services have teamed together to collect items for those who have very little or nothing at all.

Since early February the branches have been collecting donations of clothing, blankets and sleeping bags for Leeds’ homeless population.

The communities have so far donated over 10 large bags of clothes, which Area Development Manager Wendy Speight handed to Leeds Homeless Charity.

She said: “The rise in homelessness in Leeds is something which the entire community has noticed, and we wanted to be a donation hub for those who want to help those most in need.

“Huge thanks goes to everyone has already donated, the response has been incredible and we are going to keep on welcoming donations of clothes, blankets and shoes at all of our branches.”
